Seeing Humor in Tough Situations

Sometimes God gives us the grace to laugh when we feel like crying. These days, the economy is getting a lot of people down in the dumps. Or maybe there’s something else that’s got us blue– an illness, a break-up, a job rejection– whatever the case may be, God often helps us to “trace the rainbow through the rain”. How about you? Any stories or anecdotes of a time God helped make you laugh in a tough situation?

Humour is an essential ingredient in life generally and helps in most situations. Being able to see humour where ever you are makes life easier. Here is an example.
You don’t like winter and the first snow fall is happening. You could get all down in the dumps and get grumpy or you could day something to yourself like: : OH drat, It’s molting season in Heaven again. They are sweeping the old angelic feathers out the pearly gates and this is where its coming.”
You smile to yourself and carry on with the day. Humour relieves tension and stress whether it is brought on by yourself or from outside of you.
